Masterclass From Idea to Action
For professionals
Increase your impact
Every day you see potential improvements that would have a great impact on your organisation. Leading to a better service for your customers and clients, improved results, and a more rewarding workplace. But no matter how obvious it seems to you, you just can't get it across the line.
“Sometimes I think: let me just do it myself. From the shop floor, I see so many easy improvements that would reduce logistical errors. But how do I get their attention?"
Thom, logistic planner
“For years I've been suggesting we see more patients per day. With better planning, it's entirely doable. But I just can't get through to management. It's so obvious that patients would benefit. And so would our financial results. With more resources, we could fund innovative therapies and help more patients.”
Diana, nurse
Why does it sometimes feel like management isn't listening, even when it's obvious your idea would improve service to clients and deliver better results?
Masterclass
From Idea to Action
Who is this masterclass for?
Professionals who are expert in their field, but not in business
People who see clearly what needs to improve, but lack the business language, tools, and insight to get their ideas adopted.
You want to drive change from within your organisation.
You have great ideas and the expertise to back them up, you just need the business skills to make them happen.
Approach your ideas, changes, and improvements from the perspective of how management and the board assess, adopt, and implement your plan.
Engaging plans
In this masterclass, we turn your idea into a plan people believe in
We use Simon Sinek's Golden Circle to turn your idea into an inspiring plan that decision-makers in your organisation can relate to. The key idea is that inspiring plans communicate from the inside out, starting with why, then how, and finally what.
Normally, most people start with the What: here's my idea, here's what it costs. Management hears the cost before they understand the value.
Starting with the Why flips that. People are inspired by why you do something. That evokes an emotion or feeling, and that is what gets people behind an idea. Presenting your idea in a format (the How) that management recognises and can readily assess and decide on, makes it far easier for them to say yes.
WHY
Your purpose
Why does this idea matter? What problem does it solve? What is the impact on the organisation, the customer, and the results? This is your case for change, and the reason people will listen.
First, we explore the underlying drivers and beliefs that spark and fuel your idea. Your drivers are often rooted in personal experiences or frustrations, they're what compels you to pursue this idea. Your beliefs are why you feel it matters. They are personal, deeply rooted, and define the purpose of your idea, giving it meaning and direction.
“My work as a nurse s driven by a deeply rooted belief in helping people. Every day I see room to help more patients. Being able to do that is exactly why I became a nurse in the first place.”
HOW
Your plan & business case
To take your idea further within the organisation, you need the support of your colleagues and management. That means writing a plan and a business case:
What is the added value of your idea? What will it deliver, what will it cost, and what resources do you need? Who do you need to partner with: colleagues, your manager, other stakeholders. How do you bring them on board?
“Together with some colleagues and my team lead, I've written a plan and a business case that not only helps more patients, but also delivers a better financial result for the organisation.”
WHAT
Show the result of your idea
Show the result of your idea after implementation.
To you 'sell' your idea to the decision-makers in your organisation you visualise it so decision makers feel and see what you feel and see.
This is where your idea comes to life, and where management can say yes to.
“We made a video in which a patient describes the impact of being treated earlier, supported by a financial snapshot, and a pilot proposal suggesting a small-scale start so the risk feels manageable and the result is demonstrable.”
Getting your idea adopted
Understanding how decision-making works in organisations is the first step to changing that.
Gain insight into who is involved and why, which processes are in place, what a business case needs to contain, and on what criteria ideas are assessed and approved.
What it takes
